A 19th century caricature drawing of the Royal Oak, the tree in Boscobel Wood within which the future King Charles II hid to escape the Roundheads following the Battle of Worcester in 1651. Inscribed along the bottom – The Royal Oak (over-written by a later hand) / The Penderell family have no idea where Charles is!
Indistinctly signed. Laid on a decorative printed card. Sold unframed.
