A Pampered Pooch

A fun silhouette of a well-groomed poodle in a garden that is painted in watercolour on laid paper.

The paper has some age browning but acid-free card has now been inserted behind the silhouette to prevent further browning from the original wooden backing board. The date 1824 can just about be made out on the backing paper. A further inscription running round the top possibly gives the pooch’s name but has so far proven to be illegible.
