A Natty Dresser

Irish School

Sold

This well-dressed gentleman wears a blue coat with gold buttons over a striking yellow, blue and white striped waistcoat and delicate lace cravat. His powdered wig is tied in a plaited queue with a black ribbon bow.

Retaining its good colouring, the miniature is set in the original gold frame with bright cut decoration on the reverse and a later gift engraving – ‘Father & Mother to Edie. June 1st 1907’.
