The Saffron Dress

With his large brown eyes and neatly combed blonde hair, this little boy is shown wearing a saffron-coloured dress with a frilled bodice and short frill-edged sleeves. He stands between a classical stone column and a mahogany side table in what must surely have been a rather grand hallway.

Sadly the child’s details have been lost to history. The portrait is in fine condition and resides in what appears to be the original papier-mâché frame with an acorn hanger.
