Stylish Regency Lady

A beautifully rendered and well-detailed portrait of a young Regency lady attired in all her finery and looking thoughtful. Dressed entirely in white, she is wearing an empire-line dress with a spotted lace chemisette, gold hoop earrings and a pearl necklace. Her brown hair has been swept up in an apollo knot secured by a comb with a fine lace bandeau wound round her curls and decorated with a small jewel.

The portrait resides in a traditional papier-mâché frame with a brass surround and emblems (rose, thistle, shamrock) hanger. Excellent condition.
