This delightful silhouette shows a young boy with shoulder-length blonde curls wearing a coat over a shirt with a wide frilled collar.

The profile is finely painted in black and translucent shades of grey with Chinese white used to highlight the collar. A needle has been used to scratch in the texture and detail of the hair.

It is set in a narrow rose gold frame that is glazed on the reverse to show a blonde curl of hair laid on cream silk.  Perfectly sized to wear on a chain as a pendant.
