Ready for Takeoff!

Whilst she may not be perfect, this lady still exudes enough charm to complement a collection of folkart. With her hair in a plaited top knot, she wears a dress with a pleated bodice, tiny waistline and overly wide sleeves in a style that makes flight seem almost possible! In addition to hoop earrings, a coral necklace and a tiny brooch on her corsage, she has a watch hanging on a long ribbon necklace tucked into her waistband.

Along with some age spotting to the background, there are a few visible worm holes. The watercolour portrait is set in a later frame with a gilt slip.
