The Feathered Cap

Taking inspiration from Van Dyck’s painted ladies, this attractive portrait shows a young lady set against an autumnal landscape and dressed in cream satin and pearls, her dark curls decorated with a rope of pearls and jauntily topped with a tam o’shanter style cap trimmed with an ostrich feather.

Painted in watercolour on card and in fine condition, the portrait is set in a gilt metal frame backed with velvet.
